ME in the FUTURE

Wise decision is heavily needed in choosing the right course. Students, specifically graduating like me most weigh the courses we want. Their effects to us. We must choose the one which we are interested with. We mustn't be unsure in taking a course because this will lead us to the future us.

Just when I entered the third year of high school, I realized i wanted to take an Engineering course. There are lots of them but the one that stuck on my head is Chemical Engineering. At first, I did not knew what is its function. But as I took a deeper look at it, i was illuminated. I want it and its final.

My parents did not argue with me with my chosen course. Because they believed that i will be the only one who can decide with this matter. Most that I know told me that its hard. It did not matter. I am known as a risk taker and a challenge lover. No one can stop me once I get started.

Me as a Chemical Engineer. This is me 10 years from now.

CHANGE: It starts with ME

Change is the only permanent thing that exists in the world. Everything changes. Time element is the backbone of it. We could not always be the same. There is always "before and now" and "now and after". We were created to make change and to change. To make other things right and to learn from our own mistakes.

Fairness seems to be fading. Even though in the eyes of God we are equal. There are lots of bad things that are happening. And these are getting worse each time that passes. I, myself, is aware of these. But I am still 16 years of age. I keep asking myself, " Could I make a CHANGE?"

Rizal once said, " Youth is the future of our Mother land". I once thought he made a wrong prediction. Very wrong prediction. What made me think of it? Its the youth of today's doings (I include myself). Most of us are engaged with the poor environment around us. We are getting sick of the cancer in our social world. Eventually some or maybe most of us will decide to join the cancer.

I am, a student. Weak physically not armed but strong mentally. I can make a change. I won't allow that worse to become worst. I can be a catalyst of change. We can be . If bad things can influence, good things are more influential. We just need to Act.

Provincial Fiesta

After the Vigan City fiesta, here comes the Ilocos Sur Fiesta. Kannawidan is the local name of the province's fiesta. It starts every 31th day January and lasts for a couple of days. Since Provincial Capitol is located at Vigan, the fiesta is like a continuation of the said municipality.

Like in other provinces, there is always a room for people who plan to sell something with regards to the fiesta's theme. The Kannawidan booth is located beside the capitol. Not like in other fiestas, plants and other garden stuff are being sold at the booth. Eateries are of course present. these are placed at the southern part of Plaza Salcedo. Every night there is a program that takes place. This time the northern part of the Plaza Salcedo served as the theater for Kannawidan. There are always guests. But the most awaited show is the live performece of the sarzuela artists. It's been a tradition that every year Sarzuela presentation is not lost to indicate that vintage presentations are still stunning to watch.

I haven't step at the Kannawidan booth. I am too busy rushing or making my projects . But I am hoping to finally visit the booth.

St. Paul's Fiesta

Vigan city is widely known as a UNESCO city. It is rich with old-fashioned houses uniquely from the Spanish Colonial . It is also rich with the finest delicacies in the Ilocos Region. Bagnet, Empanada, Longanisa. These are just some of them.
The unique city's fiesta happens every 25th of January of the year. its been a tradition that on this day there are no classes and office works inside Vigan City only. I consider myself lucky enough because on the big day of the city's patron, St. Paul, I marched along the historical streets of the city. It was a must for me to joined the parade because I am a proud CAT officer. We raised the flag of our school on this parade. It is always good to hear that someone, described us as the best among the other CAT officers who joined the parade. My ears seemed to fly when I herd that awesome news.
I did not spent much time to celebrate the fiesta with my friends, rather, I and my family went home early. That's how I spent January 25 2011.

THREE MONTHS MORE

Before I ended my 2010< I learned may things especially in ICT IV. We discussed about the Microsoft Front page and its content. How it is related in making a web page.

At first, of course it is hard to deal with. But as we, or I got more familiar to it, it became that easy. I also learned about the background pictures of the web. On how to put pictures. On how to make a link on the front page.

Same problem with the previous grading periods, the loading of internet. Most of the time it is unplugged. So I decided to try to fixed it. Luckily, It became okay.

Moving on, I will try to make my posts and drafts as early as I can so that mu grades won't fall down, and I will spend the last three months in my school to the fullest.

New Year: Lots of LAST

Tik tak, tik tak... The clock is ticking so fast. It seems like the time is running. Trying to escape from something. 2011 has finally arrived. I thought a year is hard to wait. But I was absolutely wrong, it passes very quick. like a wind does.

Maybe its been a tradition for others to have a New Year's Resolution. I myself also made some , but for this year, I don't have. I noticed that my New Year's Resolutions were not being accomplished, so I stopped having them.

For me, there are four important events in my life that will occur on the first four months of this year.First, my last Junior-Senior Promenade. I quite enjoyed last year's prom but for sure I will more enjoy this one, the last one. Second, my last trip to go to the IRAA Meet. I've been joining this competition since I was a second year student. I am not hoping to to win this time but for at least I will play at my best. The third, there are two: my first and last Seniors' Faculty Ball and Ceremonial Drill. It will be my first and last time to experience these two events. Last but not the least, my upcoming graduation. I feel like I don't want yet to graduate for I know I'll miss my classmates and my young friends. I am too, is excited for at last I'll pass the second stage of studying. Whatever I feel, i must continue moving forward.

2011 is a year with lots of LAST for me to experience. Almost 3 months to enjoy High School Life. Very little time to spend time with my friends. this year will surely a great year for me.

Is It Christmas?

Christmas is widely known as the season of giving. In this season children are waiting for Santa Claus. They put their socks on their windows, waking up early the next day to have their presents. When I was a child I also believed in Santa Claus. Until I came to the right age and understand the fact that there is no Santa.

Jesus is the real meaning of Christmas, but this meaning is already erased in the hearts of human beings. Why do most people celebrate Christmas? Is is really to reminisce the birth of Jesus? Or just to have fun? I , myself keep on asking these questions. It's been years since I started to asked these questions and until now, my mind is not yet brighten.

The essence of Christmas is now divided. Some celebrate it for fun. Some awaits it for their gifts or for their Santa Claus. Others love it for in this season there is no work.

Even though we have different intentions in celebrating Christmas, we must put in our hearts that Jesus is behind in these celebrations.

Happy holidays!!!

"Magandang Pagsasamahan Tungo sa Maayos at Maunlad na Lipunan."

God made human last. He made us like Him,His own image. He made us to rule the Earth and to take care of it. But in order to fulfill His orders, we must create a relationship with one another, "FELLOWSHIP".

Fellowship means cooperation.
We must have only one agenda in order to build a well-renewed society. We, people, made with differences. We have different cultures but we are ONE. We have different beliefs, but we are ONE. ONENESS is everything we need. We must uplift the state of our nation, our country.

fellowship must be EVERYWHERE. We can encourage those who are feeling alone. we must tel them that we, each of us, are for each other not against one another. We are the only one who can build a great nation. The Earth is just waiting for our move.

One Week Vacation

The first semester is consists of the First Grading and the Second Grading. before entering the second semester, which consists of the Third Grading and the Fourth Grading, there is a so called "Semestral Break". It is only a one week break, but for me it's just okay.

We started our break right after the Second Grading Examination which is good enough because our teachers cannot give any special assignment for us to make during our sem-break. I did not went out often during the break. I made an everyday schedule. I usually woke up 8:00-9:00 in the morning. I don't eat my breakfast because I immediately clean the whole house, wash the dishes and refill drinking bottles. I then eat my brunch. After which, I sleep from about 11:00-3:00 in the afternoon. Then i cook for dinner at 5:00 in the afternoon.

Because of lots of "NO WORK TO DO", I continued reading the Breaking Dawn ( the last book of Twilight saga ). i usually made myself busy by reading this book. I was fascinated with the story so I finished reading it for 2 days and 1 night only. For over 720 pages of the book.

This was my sem-break. maybe for others it is boring, but with this kind of schedule I will NEVER get BORED.

End of Second Grading

First semester is almost over. The second periodical examination is fast approaching. And the most awaited semester break is on deck.
Our lessons on this grading period is quite new to me. I learned a lot on HTML tags. On how they are use to design a web page. they are usually come in pairs but some can stand by their own. Container tags or tags in pairs have two parts: the start tag and the end tag. The lessons are quite hard but with proper focus and attention to it, surely it can be understand by anyone.
There was only one problem I really hate. While checking the HTML file, I usually wait for a couple of minutes. It loads so slow. Which is so annoying.
With my good patience, I solve my problem. It is only the solution for it.
Moving on, I will make my exercises on time. I will not rush. I will participate more next grading period.

BREAKING BARRIERS THROUGH ENGLISH

English, the universal language. It is very important. We can understand each other by English. But most of us claim that their country's language is the universal one.

Different country, different culture, different belief. We cannot avoid argument from each other. These simple arguments can lead to war. By these wars, countries are being far from each other. It seems like there is no cooperation.

Promoting English is one best way to promote world peace. Through English language we can communicate to other people around the world and encourage them to spread world's peace and unity.

We must engage ourselves to English language. We must be familiar to it. We must develop ourselves using English language.

By using English we can break barriers. We can be aware to others culture and they can be aware of ours too. We can make stronger friendship ties to other people with different nationality.

Through English language, we can be connected.

FILIPINNOVATION:The way Forward

Trying your best is better than being the best. There is no harm in trying. In a student's life, trials are encountered along the way. Yes! It is true that being a student is quite hard but trough this stage of life, we can gain much experience for a start-up knowledge in the future.

I am proud that I am a Filipino. Though I am still a student I can contribute to our innovation. Students' are the leaders of tomorrow. How can we make this statement true if we cannot push our country forward? It is not an exception for us students to help. Even in a young age we can help in our Filipino innovation.

If you fall along the way, don't think twice to get-up or not. Come to think of this, if you will not get up who will lead the nation tomorrow? Filipinnovation must start in yourself. If you aren't proud that you are a Filipino how can you help in moving forward?

Neglect fear. Don't let that fear run through you. Think about your future. The state of life of the next generation. It is in your hands, students. Your journey, our journey start here, as a student. Give it your best.

Makers of Somebody

"Teaching is the noblest profession". Teachers serve as the second parents of pupils and students. they always look after their students. They don't want their students to be left behind by other students. That is a teacher.

Sixteen years of existence in the world, about twelve years of it was spent in school. At first, I hate ti attend my classes. Because maybe, I was not interested with the topic our teacher introduced.

When I was still in elementary, I did not hate my teachers but I feared them. I can't tell why I can't be close with them. Its just because they are too strict. They hurt us. They give hard punishments in simple mistakes.

As I grow older and I entered the stage of being a high school student. Not anymore pupil, but student. This time the image of teachers changed. I learned that they can be like my friends. They can also be my parents. They provide care. They give love.

Without teachers, there will be no lawyers, doctors, accountants and other different professions. Teachers are very important. i do believe in their power and wisdom.

Teachers can create or make you "SOMEBODY" in the future.

First Grading Period Fever

I can't imagined how far we have gone. Time really fly that fast. From the month of June to the middle week of August. The first Grading Period is almost over and the First Grading Examination is nearly arriving.

Information Communication Technology IV. One of my subject. Every second period in the morning at Computer room 1.

Ever since, I am really interested in social networking websites. But through this ICT IV, I pretty much appreciated the use of blog websites especially blogger.com. I did had a great and fun time during this grading period. All about blogs. Creating or signing up in the blogger was not that difficult because it was just like the other social networking sites. I also learned the different types of blogs. We also tackled the different kinds of web servers and web browsers. The last lesson that we had was about the domains.

Only one problem I really hated is the electrical failure. That was bad. Due to electrical failures, our class was done in our homeroom which I hate because it was hot in our room. And it is worse when on the day of electric failure was the same day I wore my Fatigue Uniform which makes my feeling hotter.

I asked permission to some of our higher officers that I will take off my jacket. Luckily they agreed.

Moving on, I will keep my interest focused on our lessons. I will keep my participation better. But I don't think if I will be more active but I'll try.

Filipino Theme:"Pangangalaga ng Wika at Kalikasan Wagas na Pagmamahal ang Kailangan"

Loving your native language is a big proof that you love your country. This is the statement I do believe with. It is not bad for us to learn other languages. But in some aspects it appears that you are not proud from where you are.

Filipinos and so with other people have different cultures that had been inherited from our ancestors. Most of the Filipinos are now influenced by foreign cultures and sometimes some of us even set aside our own. This is not good. Thus, we must be educated enough to keep our cultures alive and survive through the coming generations. Improving is merely accepted for a change. Valuing our language is one best way. It is the basic thing that a person came from a country when he speaks his native language. But certainly it requires love. Not just a simple love but a true love. We must love our language as much as we love ourselves.

Patronizing our environment is a way to of loving Him. We must use our language well in order for us to campaign for the safety of our environment. God made us for us to take good care of His other creations. We must not abuse our environment because it may cause a lot of damage in our part. I do believe that the worst revenge a man could experience is the revenge of the nature.

We must take the initiative to value the two great things in our lives, our language and the environment. That He may look after us.

Nutrition Month Celebration

Being a mother is not an easy task.It requires a lot of patience, strength and understanding. This is the job that has no day-off. You cannot even have a leave. It's like you are the employer and at the same time the boos of your own business. You can't even have a retirement because it is the endless job.

The health of the baby depends on her mother. The mother should take care of her self in order that her baby will see the world as healthy as most children that are being born. There are lot of things that are being forbidden to a pregnant woman. She mustn't smoke and drink alcohol because it will damage the brain of her child. She must also visit her doctor regularly. And most of all, she must be very careful of what she must take in.

Fruits and vegetables. These are the usual foods they say that nutritious. It is necessarily be eaten by a pregnant lady for her health and so with her baby.

Eating the right foods will be the reason of the baby's good health.

We should thank our dear mother, ina, mama, nanay and mommy because they are sacrificing a lot. Since we were born until now that we are old enough. We owe our lives to them.

Letter to The President

Dear Mr. President,

First and for most, I would like to greet you a good day. During the vote counting, you was the one in the lead. Until the proclamation day has arrived. The 15th president is yourself, Mr. Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III. I myself shamefully admit that I had a doubt in your leadership Sir, but when I watched your conversation with the press, I was really impress. The doubt immediately gone and I keep telling myself that you had a hidden intelligence. you made many Filipinos proud.

I wrote this letter because I would like to ask you some questions regarding to what will be your plans in our country. First, do you want to continue your agenda during the campaign? Are the promises of yours will be ion real or as you sit, those that you promised were disappear? All that became our president of our mother land, Philippines that they did something, how about you Sir? Can all your countrymen will feel the success? Or the rich ones will only the one to high up?

These are only few of the questions we students would like to ask you. we hope most of these would be answered. and may we be your strength to face the upcoming challenges. Before I end this letter I wish you good luck as you sit.

Janine Amano
